Inkwell Graphix started as a home-based sign shop in 1978 and opened at 277 State Street later that year.
For fourteen years we worked in that location, expanding eventually to occupy three storefronts.
One shop was dedicated to screen printing, one shop for painting and one housing art studios and display areas.
We were lucky to have the help of some 'old timer' sign men and many talented younger artists as well.
We moved in 1995 and had major renovations in 2000 including a garage, new workshop and darkroom.
We remain a family-owned business and appreciate all the hard work and skills of our long-time staff.
Here's a gallery of photos and memories from the 'good old days' to the present. We are grateful for the support and friendship of all our clients, family and employees- both past and present- who are the biggest part of the story.
